Along the way, we earned degrees, bought homes, advanced our careers, and served our community—while also confronting childhood trauma that once tried to define us.We navigated the full spectrum of parenting: celebrating victories, holding space through mental health challenges, incarceration, and substance use. Nett built a strong foundation in community leadership and education. While raising her children and serving her neighborhood, she held roles such as PTA President, Hawthorne School District Citizens’ Oversight Committee Member, Flag Football Coach, and Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation Volunteer — where she earned the Tom Bradley Award for her service.
